Waitrose wanted PR for their New Lower Prices campaign. The only issue? Getting the press to care about a regular supermarket sale.
As Waitrose’s prices were falling, we created a billboard that looked like it was falling too… and that’s when the madness began. Thanks to a concerned passer-by and a health and safety-obsessed council our wonky billboard hit the headlines. Generating millions in earned media and letting people know that Waitrose prices are low… but not dangerously low.
